30 Things I Have Learned in 30 Years
1. First, last, always; Jesus is my
greatest friend, most trusted confidant and the only One who sees every part of
me, and loves me with abandon.
2. You are going to be hurt, but don’t
let that stop you from living.
3. Never try to find fulfillment in
another person.
4. You are beautiful, you are precious
and you are loved.
5. That Knight on a white horse, he
might never come; and if he doesn’t, you’ll be okay.
6. Family is one of God’s greatest
gifts, treasure them.
7. Life is short, take chances, be
compassionate, live.
8. This isn’t home, so don’t focus on
being comfortable.
9. Moms are right about 99% of the time.
10. Grandparents are a true treasure, if
you still have yours always make time for them, they will be gone before you
know it.
11. Make wise decisions, they tend to
have fewer negative consequences.
12. It’s okay if you don’t have
everything figured out. This life is a journey; if you stop learning you stop
living.
13. British television is far superior to
American television.
14. Study history, it will help you to
understand today and tomorrow.
15. Never settle for second best;
complacency in the long run is far more damaging than confrontation.
16. Don’t let culture influence how you
feel about the path God has lead you down, it’s not supposed to make sense to
the world.
17. Those little old ladies at church
that can sniff out a single person at 100 yards and know “just the right person
for you”, most of them really do mean well.
18. Get up and move, your body may hate
you now, but it will thank you in the long run.
19. The pain of losing someone you love
never goes away, but what a blessing it is to have known that love.
20. Not everyone in a position of
authority is right, not all of them have your best interest at heart.
21. Trust your instincts, it can save you
more than pain, it can save your life.

for a purpose, some to bless and others to challenge. Try not to resent the
